Pest control in Barrie, on the Simcoe County calendar
Wasps peak in August. Mice move indoors in October. Cluster flies have to be treated in September, not January. Most of this work is cheaper to time correctly than to react to — so we will tell you when to book as readily as we will sell you a treatment.
- Unmarked vehicles as standard
- Exclusion-first on rodents and wildlife
- We will tell you when waiting is the right call

What we do
Every job, with the permit and the price up front
Fixed quotes on planned work, hourly on diagnosis. Prices below are what these jobs actually run in Barrie in 2026 — not a national average with a local page wrapped around it.
-
Wasps & hornets
Same-day nest removal through the August and September peak, including eaves, soffits and in-wall colonies.
$180–$320 Single accessible nest, treated and removed -
Mice & rats
Exclusion-first rodent control — find and seal the entry points, then remove the population. Autumn is when this gets urgent.
$450–$900 Full inspection, exclusion and treatment programme -
Bed bugs
Heat and chemical treatment programmes with discreet unmarked vehicles, plus honest advice on what you need to throw away — which is less than you think.
$900–$2,400 Full treatment programme, typical 2–3 bedroom -
Carpenter ants
Ontario's structural ant. Finding the nest matters more than spraying the trail — and the ants are usually a moisture symptom.
$350–$650 Treatment with follow-up, typical detached home -
Cockroaches
German cockroach programmes using gel baiting rather than spraying, with the multi-unit coordination these infestations actually need.
$400–$900 Three-visit baiting programme -
Wildlife removal
One-way doors and exclusion under Ontario wildlife law, plus the attic repairs that stop the next one getting in.
$450–$1,200 Humane exclusion with entry point repair -
Seasonal invaders
The autumn wall-crawlers of rural Simcoe County. Timing is everything — a September exterior treatment beats six months of vacuuming.
$280–$480 Exterior perimeter treatment, seasonal
Simcoe County calendar
Almost everything here is a timing problem
Book in the right month and most of these are a few hundred dollars. React in the wrong one and they are a few thousand. This is the calendar we work to.
| Window | What happens | What to do | Cost if timed right |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mar–Apr | Raccoon kits, active attics | Exclusion needs baby-season handling — young located and reunited, not sealed in | $650–$1,200 |
| May–Jun | Carpenter ant swarms | Winged ants indoors mean an established interior nest, not a visitor | $350–$650 |
| Jun–mid Aug | Bat maternity season | Exclusion restricted — flightless pups would be sealed inside | Book for Sept |
| Aug–Sep | Wasp and hornet peak | Colonies at maximum size and most defensive. Our busiest window by far | $180–$320 |
| September | Cluster fly treatment | Exterior application before they aggregate. The one month that works | $280–$480 |
| Aug–Sep | Rodent exclusion | Seal the house before the autumn move indoors, not during it | $450–$900 |
| Oct–Nov | Rodents move in | First sustained cold pushes field populations toward heated structures | $450–$900 |
| Year-round | Bed bugs, cockroaches | Indoor species. Season is irrelevant, speed is not | $400–$2,400 |

FAQ
Questions we get asked
How much does pest control cost in Barrie?
Wasp nest removal runs $180 to $320. A rodent programme with exclusion is $450 to $900. Carpenter ants are $350 to $650. Cockroach baiting programmes are $400 to $900. Bed bugs are $900 to $2,400 depending on whether it is chemical or heat. Wildlife exclusion is $450 to $1,200 plus repairs.
Do you use unmarked vehicles?
Yes, as standard. For bed bugs and cockroaches in particular, a branded van outside your house is information you did not agree to share with your street, and we do not think that should cost extra.
Can you relocate a raccoon far away?
No, and nobody legally can. Ontario's Fish and Wildlife Conservation Act requires relocated wildlife to be released within one kilometre of capture. Anyone promising to take it out to the country is describing something they are not permitted to do. This is why we work by exclusion and repair, which is what actually ends the problem.
I rent. Who pays for pest control?
Your landlord. Under Ontario's Residential Tenancies Act the landlord must maintain the rental unit in a good state of repair and fit for habitation, and pest control falls within that. Report it in writing and keep copies. In a multi-unit building, push for adjacent units to be inspected — single-unit treatment usually fails.
Is pesticide use restricted in Ontario?
For cosmetic lawn and garden purposes, substantially — that is what the provincial cosmetic pesticide restrictions cover. Structural pest control for health and property protection is a different category and is carried out by licensed exterminators under the Pesticides Act. Ask us for our licence number and verify it with the ministry before booking anyone, including us.
Will you tell me if I do not need treatment?
Regularly. A wasp nest somewhere harmless in late October will die at the first hard frost and does not need treating. A handful of large ants in July may be foraging from a stump outside. Cluster flies in February cannot usefully be treated until September. We would rather say so than take the booking.
